YUV File Player was developed to let you playback raw (i.e. uncompressed and headerless) planar YUV video files of the type commonly used by the video (compression) research community.

YUV File Player is a simple free application was the project I used to teach myself some basic Windows programming with the Win32 API.

Here are some key features of "YUV File Player":

· Plays raw / uncompressed 4:2:0, 4:2:2 and 4:0:0 (grayscale) format YUV files
· Play / pause / rewind / step forward / step back controls
· Full, half, quarter and unrestricted speed playback options
· View combined colour fields (i.e. full colour) or view each field separately
· Copy individual frames to the clipboard
· Interlaced video support
· Stand-alone application - no installation needed
· User defined default settings - no need to keep re-entering width, height
