We are quite certain all of you have some photographs that you're not very proud of. In some cases, the element to blame is the poor quality of the device that was used to take the picture.
Sometimes, all you need to fix a picture is an application that comes equipped with the tools to do so.
PhotoFiltre is a graphic editor that can be used to retouch images through simple and advanced features. It's not as complex as PhotoShop, for example, but that's usually recommended for advanced users.
Whether your level of experience in the digital manipulating area is low or high, PhotoFiltre will come in handy.
The interface will look extremely familiar to you, because most graphic editors use it.
There are some nice features in PhotoFiltre, like filtering the image with a blood or India ink artistic effect, a frame (simple, slide or 3D button), flatten, edit the edges or texture, resizing, rotating, and others.
Unfortunately, there are some disadvantages to it.
For example, if you wish to modify the brightness and contrast of an image, you can't see the instant effect while you're adjusting the slider, but right after releasing it with your mouse (not after pressing the Ok button).
This is available for all the sliders found in PhotoFiltre's features, the color picker in PhotoMasque (which is a nice tool, by the way), and when you're trying to resize an image (you have to press Ok to see the result).
That means that you would take longer time (and probably lose patience) to adjust an image, especially if you're a perfectionist.
Otherwise, this application is good for minor adjustments of an image. CPU and memory resources are less used than with other similar but larger software.
So, if you want to make some changes at an image without having to deal with a complex program, then you would probably like PhotoFiltre. It gets a big bonus for being free.
