    PLCEdit description

A simple code editor for Moeller SucoSoft compatible .poe files in PLC programming

PLCEdit is a software project that has as target to create a programming enviroment for Programmable Logic Controller, which is compatible to the Moeller SucoSoft.

Reason for developing PLCEdit was the unexisting controller engineering software for the Apple plattform. Siemens and also Moeller didn't offer their programming enviroments for programmable logic controller under Mac OS X or Unix.

PLCEdit can be seen as a slim but powerful editor to note your ideas. The programming language will be InstructionList in free syntax mode for the first time.PLCEdit is a code editor for Moeller SucoSoft.

All the important programm types, like main programm and function blocks (sub programmes), can build with PLCEdit for later compilation and uploading with the SucoSoft.

You still need a Windows PC and a Moeller SucoSoft Distribution (or Demo Version) to compile and transfer the code.

PLCEdit is bi-lingual, that means the language can be switched between German and English in the program.

However, the SucoSoft versions v4.x and v5.x have very small claims. Notice, PLCEdit is an addition to the SucoSoft and can not substitute the POE Editor. PLCEdit direct its to users, who didn't even have a PC with an installed SucoSoft.

Moreover Moeller SucoSoft is a product with costs, so PLCEdit offers the possibility to work on .poe files without illegal using SucoSoft or off the job.
In the last time Moeller discontinued the SucoSoft more and more. With PLCEdit you got the possibility to open old projects.

Here are some key features of "PLCEdit":

    · Compatible to Moeller SucoSoft and XSoft, CoDeSys Export files and Siemens AWL and SCL sources
    · Support for IL and ST (KOP and FUP in AWL mode)
    · Sessions (lists with opened files)
    · Printing
    · Multilingual (preinstalled EN, DE)
