The Template Gallery dialog box displays a list of template categories and allows you to choose a template, to base your document on.

The Insert menu, allows you to insert into your template line segments, sector, arc, spline segment, rectangle and elipse, smart and direct connectors, text, picture , hyperlink and object

The Text Properties tab, you can select the font size, color, spacing, paragraph, text block and tabs 

THe Shape Properties allows you to adjust the shape line, fill and shadow, behaviour and protection, information and double-click settings
