There are many reasons why Windows XP users prefer to stay away from Windows 8, but a new research points out that many consumers actually pick Windows 7 because of its familiar interface.
The same research conducted by Spiceworks that we’ve told you about yesterday adds that “seventy-four percent of IT professionals cited the importance of ‘maintaining a similar user experience’ as the primary reason why they’re planning to upgrade to Windows 7-based devices.”
In plain English, the familiar look of Windows 7 is much more appealing for users currently running Windows XP, as the new Windows 8 comes with too many modifications in terms of design.
As you probably know by now, Windows 8 brings quite a lot of changes, including a new Modern interface and the removal of a Start Menu that makes the operating system a bit more difficult to use for some people.
