8StartButton is one of the apps that can successfully bring back the Start button on Windows 8 devices, so it's now installed on plenty of PCs out there.

The program has received a new update today that packs more optimizations for Windows 8.1, as well an option to allow a smooth fade in and out of the Start Menu.

The tile editing screen has been redesigned, while the Start Menu is now generated a bit faster. Developers have also removed some info boxes that appeared on the very first start, while also implementing plenty of bug fixes supposed to repair issues found in the previous builds.

As you know, 8StartButton works like a charm on Windows 8.1, so click here to view a photo gallery showing the app in action on the latest OS update.
