The new Adobe Flash Player release (for Windows and Mac) focuses mainly on bug fixing, but new features are also available.

Among the benefits of Flash Player 11.5 there is shared ByteArray support for ActionScript workers, which is designed to help developers share memory between multiple workers.

Also new in this build is the debug stack trace in release builds of Flash Player. This allows developers to display stack trace details in release and debug revisions.

With this version Adobe switches to a rapid beta release cycle for Flash Player and the updates will be performed automatically in the background, without user intervention.

AIR moved to a new beta as well, incrementing the build number to 3.5. The highlights of the new version include the ability to bundle multiple binaries with ANE (AIR Native Extension) and packaging and loading multiple SWFs on iOS. Full details are available on this page.
