Sports the same features available in Kindle Cloud Reader

There aren’t too many applications in Windows Store, but the place is definitely adding the big names. The latest entry is from Amazon, as they released a Metro app for reading books stored in their cloud.

As expected, it is the equivalent of the Kindle Cloud Reader and it does not bring to the table any new features. Once you open a book you can navigate to different parts of the text (cover, table of contents or a specific page). Placing bookmarks is also available, just like the synchronization option.

However, some Windows-specific options are present, such as pinning the books to the Start screen, as a tile, just like in the case of web pages. Offline access to items is also available, as books are downloaded as soon as you open them.

Kindle Metro app is available in Windows Store, under “Top free” category.
