Avant Browser has received an update today, incrementing the build number to 172. There aren’t any new features available, as the modifications consist in rendering engine updates (Chrome and Firefox) and fixes.

As far as the latter are concerned, some problems with Gecko, Webkit and Trident engines have been eliminated. These consisted in crashing after enabling Silverlight (on Gecko), failure to search from the address bar (on Webkit) and auto-fill dialog popping up when loading a page (on Trident).

Other issues solved in this revision refer to video Avant Downloader not being able to detect videos on certain sites and video playing in the background after clicking the full screen button on the video player.
