The makers of Avant have recently updated their web browser. Out of the four changes listed in the release notes, two of them refer to browser engine updates.

Avant Browser 2012 build 181 now includes a fresh Webkit version (21.0.1180.83) and the latest Firefox engine (15.0.0.4622), as expected after Mozilla’s launch yesterday of the new version.

The rest of the details point to fixing up problems, one of them caused Webkit to crash when navigating to Google Plus website.

The second eliminates an issue relating to a shortcut misbehavior. Ctrl+shift+Z could only reopen the last closed page instead of recovering the last action of closing pages.

Avant Browser bundles in three rendering engines (Trident, Gecko and Webkit), which power Internet Explorer, Firefox and Google Chrome.
