As you probably know by now, regardless of whether you’re using Bing on a regular basis or not, Microsoft’s search engine publishes a new high-resolution homepage image each day, thus trying to provide users with a fresh background regularly.

According to a blog post published by the Bing team, this homepage image is a “source of momentary delight for millions of people every day.”

“The editorial team behind choosing the image carefully considers user happiness in every selection they make, working to maximize the surprise and delight we can get by simply taking a moment to explore our world visually,” the team explained.

Truth is, Microsoft is indeed providing users with high-quality photos via its Bing homepage, so it’s no surprise that developers have created themes and some other applications using the published pictures.
