Startup bug eliminated in uTorrent stable for Windows

Indeed, new builds are out for the stable and beta releases of uTorrent. As expected, the set of changes is modest in both cases, the former showing a single entry and the latter sporting twice as many.

The stable release eliminates a bug that had been around the past three builds, and prevented uTorrent from starting up with Windows.

However, it looks like problems still persist with this version, users reporting freezes after adding magnet links or failing to complete the hash check.

As far as the beta build is concerned, besides fixing up a problem with bad asserts it also introduces a new feature: add mark of the web to files we download (diskio.mark_of_the_web).

You can get uTorrent from this page; the application is also available as a portable download.
