The wait for Blender 2.62 is over, as the developer just released the new version. Among the newly added cool stuff, there is a larger number of UV editing tools, new features for Cycles Render engine, touches on modifiers and support for object tracking.

UV tools available in this release include an advanced interactive stitch tool, which lets you align and glue together UV islands. Also, there is seam marking in the UV editor and an instrument that computes seams for islands.

The Cycles Render engine brings to the table the possibility to render layers and passes, multi GPU rendering and selection of the graphics card, better sampling (useful for complex environment maps), border rendering and new shading nodes for color correction.
