BurnAware just pushed the first beta for version 4.1 of their free burning tool. The fresh release comes with the possibility to update data on rewriteable DVDs and Blu-ray discs.
Another novelty in BurnAware 4.1 Beta is the fact that it uses a new method of data detection of DVD-RW/+RW.
As far as the fixes are concerned, users should no longer have trouble loading sessions on multi-session discs. Moreover, BurnAware users having Kaspersky watching over their system no longer have to deal with the burner being flagged as a threat.
With this release, BurnAware got rid of three bugs, which interfered with disc reading while copying, saving/loading pause value and opening the drive tray.
Since there’s only a week between the latest stable release and this beta, we should expect an increment in version number for the paid editions of the product any time soon.
