Connectify Hotspot has just received a new major update that brings lots of changes, including a redesigned interface plus new features.

The user interface is no longer always on top and can be resized or moved on the desktop, while the menu has been included in a single bar to find the options you’re looking for a bit faster.

A password generator is also included to create a random password on the go, while the default one is now displayed in the status bar for easy access.

“Hotspot no longer has the ‘Save Settings to Thumbdrive’ option to write the connection settings to a USB thumb drive. Windows 8 has dropped support for that feature, and won’t use the drives that Connectify sets up,” the devs explained.

The “Clone Wi-Fi” option has been renamed “Wi-Fi Extender” for a more intuitive approach and it’s now placed in the “Tools” menu.
