Microsoft isn’t yet working to restyle Notepad

Notepad is here to stay in Windows, and there’s no doubt that the upcoming Windows 10 will feature the app as well, but there’s still no indication that Microsoft might be planning any sort of improvement for this particular program.

That’s why concepts that envision a new look for the Notepad app are worth a look and this is exactly the case of this design created by DeviantArt user Metroversal.

The concept you see here goes all-in on Microsoft’s flat approach and imagine a completely revamped Notepad that barely reminds of the old application that’s currently available on the existing Windows versions.

There’s no doubt that such a design would actually make sense in Windows 10, especially because Microsoft wants the new OS to be more eye-candy and modern.

What’s more, the Notepad app could also become a universal app and be available on tablets and smartphones as well, although we highly doubt that many people would use it on their phones since Office will come pre-installed on these devices.

And yet, this concept is proof that Microsoft users expect the upcoming operating system to feature a greatly enhanced interface, not only on the desktop but also within all installed apps, so Microsoft would better have a look at every single part of the OS to make sure that it makes everything look fresh and modern.
