Unlike the previous versions of Flash and AIR, which were highly anticipated for introducing cinematic 2D and 3D hardware accelerated graphics of Stage 3D, the current releases focus mostly on plugging security holes and fixing bugs.

Security-wise, Adobe Flash Player 11.1.102.55 takes care of critical vulnerabilities of the previous builds. These could lead to crashes as well as allow attackers to take control of the system. The same severity level is mentioned in the case of Adobe AIR as well.

As far as the issues that have been fixed, Adobe announces that for the desktop version of the player video playback will be hidden behind the browser when switching between tabs (Ctrl+Tab) on Internet Explorer 9 in full screen mode.

The section reserved for new features has only one entry, which announces that now there is iOS5 support in Adobe AIR.
