Adobe released an update for their high end multimedia editing tool, Premiere Pro CS5, bumping the version number to 5.5.2. Weighing in at 210MB, the patch is intended for both electronic and DVD installations of the suite.

There are few changes included in the update file, designed to improve overall functionality of the package. As such, it mends an issue which prevented proper display of closed captions and the timecode effect.

Another fix addresses the color picker on Mac OS X Lion. The patch also repairs a pretty severe bug that would cause the program monitor to go black when trim preview and a third party I/O card plugin were used.

Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 5.5.2 seems to complete the bugfixing started in the previous release, which killed off a slew of issues discovered on Mac stations.
