The Bandicam game recording software received an update today, to version 1.9.1. Among the improvements present in the new build there is support for AMD APP H.264 encoder.

The developer makes available a tutorial for using this encoder in order to enhance the recording ability of the application based on GPU acceleration. One of the advantages is high-speed recording with a better compression ratio and at a better quality.

Apart from this, the fresh release includes option for FourCC Code (H264 and X264), as well as Keyframe interval option (1-300).

Furthermore, the application brings to the table better recording of DirectX 9 and improved FPS recognition of OpenGL.

Two bugs have been eliminated; one of them prevented BandiCam from starting with Windows on certain occasions, while the other caused FPS value not to be displayed in the Metro 2033 game.
