All the new and exciting features have already been introduced in the release candidate of version 2.61, released on December 8. However, this is the stable build for Blender 2.61, and whatever issues you had in the RC should now be gone.

The latest build of this free advanced video editing tool sees a massive amount of bugs squashed (no less than 180), which hindered the user in the previous editions.

Demo files for testing the new features are also available.

You can download the files for Cycles render engine and Dynamic Paint modifier (21MB) from this link. The package of demos (170MB) for Camera tracking and Ocean simulation are available here.

The new add-ons in this release include an Adobe After Effects exporter, Atomic Blender file importer, Acclaim and C3D motion capture importers, and Nuke camera animation exporter and importer.
