A new beta version for Maxthon 4.1 has been released. It packs new features as well as improvements and repairs.

At the top of the list is the introduction of global blocking rules, which can be created by users and shared.

Also new is the availability of search suggestions in the address bar and on the quick access page. Furthermore, the developer optimized the third-party cookies visiting policy by providing a related option.

Improvements available in this release revert to Night Mode, display mode with lots of tabs, quicker access to Cloud Push and the possibility to turn on/off GPU acceleration.

As far as repairs are concerned, this release addresses issues related to WebKit, specifically a crash that occurred when working with the browser in touch mode. You can find the full release log here.

Maxthon Browser is available for download from this link; it is also available in portable form.
