Microsoft has just released a new theme for its users, offering some new customization options that enable everyone running the latest versions of Windows to customize their backgrounds and add a personal touch to the desktop.

The so-called Beauty of Britain theme comes with a collection of 13 different wallpapers based on photos made in the United Kingdom, and works on Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows RT 8.1, Windows RT, and in Windows 7 Home Premium, Professional, Enterprise, or Ultimate editions.

“From the bustling streets of London and seaside piers of Brighton to Wiltshire’s mysterious Stonehenge and the Welsh countryside, photographer Sean Byrne has captured the grandeur and beauty of Great Britain in this free theme for Windows,” Microsoft says in the official description of the theme.

As you can see, it also works well on Windows RT, so you only need to download the single .themepack file and double-click it on the desktop. The theme should pretty much take care of everything and deploy all files automatically.

Overall, there's no doubt that all these themes released by Microsoft are at least worth a shot, so go ahead and download the Beauty of Britain Theme for Windows 8.1 to change your desktop background with a beautiful London wallpaper.
