Adds surrogate scripts and improves Google search surrogates

NoScript 2.3.1 is here and it carries no less than four new features, which is a lot for a Firefox extension. Bug fixing is also present in this release, as the developer removes ClearClick bypass based on a Firefox SVG CSS filter bug and improves Google search surrogates.

Most of the new additions are surrogate scripts, which add exceptions, if a given domain is blocked. Such a script has been introduced to let the news pages escape Digg’s frame. The same strategy was adopted to skip the interstitial page even if scripts are disabled, on adf.ly.

The list of new features ends with improving the compatibility with cross-frame overlapping shadows.

NoScript extension for Mozilla-based browsers allows JavaScript, Java, Flash and other plugins to be executed only by trusted websites of your choice. You can download it from this page.
