Make your Windows installation look like Mac OS X with this free app

If you're tired of the way your Windows installation looks like, there are plenty of transformation packs out there that can completely change the appearance of the operating system.

One of them is the intuitively called OS X Mavericks Transformation Pack which, just like its name suggests, could bring the OS X looks on your Windows PC by adding some traditional elements available on Mac devices, including a dock, icons, and new window designs.

Version 3.1, which was only recently released, adds hot screen corner activation as optional feature, but also some system programs that could be missing in Windows.

It also fixes a number of bugs spotted in the previous builds, including some installation errors on Windows XP x64 and an invisible taskbar tray arrow in Windows 7.

The application sure comes with plenty of eye-candy goodies, but before starting the setup, make sure that you create a backup of your existing Windows installation. This way, in case something goes wrong or if you're not satisfied with the result, you can always go back to the default configuration of Windows.

And still, this is clearly a great way to try out Apple's designs without buying a Mac, so download OS X Mavericks Transformation Pack 3.1 for Windows to see what it is like.
