Opera 22 Next received a brand new update today, so users who are already running this preview build of the browser are strongly recommended to get the fresh version as soon as possible.

Opera Web Browser 22.0.1471.34 Next comes with lots of improvements, including a Chromium engine update, as well as some Windows-specific changes concerning the network installer and some minor UI glitches.

At the same time, the new build is also supposed to fix a number of crashes and thus contribute to an overall improved experience on all supported platforms, including Windows and Mac.

Although it's part of the beta development channel, Opera 22 Next continues to work very well on all Windows versions on the market, including Windows XP. Microsoft pulled the plug on Windows XP on April 8, so the operating system no longer receives updates and security patches, but several software developers, including Opera, have pledged to continue updating their apps on XP for at least two more years.

Overall, this new update is specifically aimed at users running the beta 22 version, so in case you have already deployed this preview build, use the download links below to get the package appropriate for your computer and make sure that everything works as it should.
