14 DAY TRIAL // The new TweetDeck looks awesome. Version 1.0 of the Twitter client is also easier to handle and offers a brand-new perspective over the twitterverse. It is also available for Mac and as a Chrome app.
One important aspect is that it is no longer an Adobe AIR app, but an HTML5-based one. The multi-column layout has been preserved, but the application has suffered a major cut-down in options.
The number of social network accounts has been trimmed to Facebook and Twitter only, scrapping options for LinkedIn, Foursquared and MySpace.
However, you can still use the old version of the app, as you can find the download at various providers over the web, Softpedia included.
In fact, installing the new TweetDeck will not eliminate the old one and the two versions can run together on the same system.
