A new stable build has been released for Dropbox client. Revision 2.2.12 incorporates no new features, only repairs.

One of the most important fixes available in this release refers to a glitch that caused copious amounts of CPU to be used during the re-indexing process.

Additional repairs take care of issues that would occur occasionally. One of them addresses a problem with the selective sync process while the other led to unnecessary re-indexing of the entire contents of a Dropbox folder.

Dropbox 2.2.12 should do away with the problems with the tray icon on Mac systems. The developer has announced that more issues have been dealt with, although there are no specifics as they were far from the importance of the aforementioned ones.
