Dropbox client received a hefty dose of updates as both the experimental branch and the RC (soon to be stable) one incremented the revision number.

The experimental release reached the 2.3x line and showcases the features that will be introduced in the stable build once they’re bug-free.

First on the list is the possibility to send a screenshot straight to the cloud. This is supported only on Windows and Mac and can be triggered through the PrintScreen function on Microsoft’s OS and the specific Mac commands.

A new context menu for data that is not synchronized will allow you to move items to Dropbox. A Mac-only feature will allow users to import pics from iPhoto (7.0 or higher).

The developer also informs that the transfer speed for both download and upload in the case of large files has been notably increased.

A fresh release candidate has also been released, bringing the client to revision 2.2.0. Apart from improved memory usage and startup performance, the developer also introduced the new set of badges and fixed a couple of issues. You can find the full change log on this page.
