ESET just launched the beta builds for version 7 of their new line of products, NOD32 Antivirus and Smart Security.

The company touts the same low impact on system resources the suites have been known for as well increased protection against zero-day malware thanks to core technology improvements.

The Advanced Memory Scanner in this beta is designed to act against encrypted threats by checking them directly in the memory, when decrypted.

“Cybercriminals use various obfuscation techniques in their malware to evade detection by our advanced algorithms. The new technology we are introducing with the BETA release of our flagship products, ESET NOD32 Antivirus and ESET Smart Security will make it much more difficult for them,” said Palo Luka, ESET chief technology officer

Enhancement of the cleaning algorithms and routines should result in the ability to remove complex rootkits that would otherwise be eliminated through dedicated tools.

Both ESET NOD32 and Smart Security 7 beta include protection against network vulnerabilities through the Vulnerability Shield feature. It is designed to fend off any code or attacks that rely on known network vulnerabilities.

The developer informs that a third advanced function is currently in the works and will be introduced in future builds of the suite. Check out the images in the gallery for a look at the new products.
