Experienced users know exactly that EasyBCD is among the most flexible ways to customize the system’s boot menu or fix it or back it up in order to restore the configuration when tough times hit.

The latest release, 2.1.1, does not bring too much novelty to the table, as the only new things are the fact that the program’s setup and binaries are digitally signed and now there is an option to automatically load a certain BCD path at startup.

On the other hand, there are plenty of fixes: Create Bootable USB is now properly disabled on XP, advanced settings of the software are available for PE images, there is proper display of internationalized BCD entries and switching between advanced and Edit Legacy Entries option no longer points to the wrong boot.ini after modifying the external BCD.
