14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft is trying to promote its cloud-based storage service SkyDrive with quite an interesting partnership, allowing entertainment magazine Complex to host a digital issue on its platform.
The company has announced that the June/July version of Complex magazine is available for all users via its SkyDrive service, as part of what it calls the first-of-its-kind SkyDrive/media partnership.
“For the first time ever, Complex Magazine is hosting a digital version of the June/July edition exclusively on SkyDrive, as seen here. This partnership showcases how SkyDrive is at the forefront of the new, innovative ways in which companies and mainstream media are utilizing the personal cloud to create better experiences for their customers and readers,” the company told us.
In addition, a company spokesperson explained in a mailed statement that another similar partnership to “highlight the technology’s popularity with pop culture fans” would be announced today.
