Windows 8.1 is now available for download, so as a way to say ‘thank you’ to all those who already deployed the new operating system, Microsoft has released a new layout for the Bing search that’s only accessible from the updated platform.

The company announced in a blog post that Windows 8.1 users would start seeing the new version of Bing.com today, while everybody else would get it in the coming weeks.

“With the worldwide availability of Windows 8.1, we’re hitting another big milestone on that path. To mark the occasion, people using Windows 8.1 will see the latest version of Bing.com starting today - this will be rolling out to everyone in the coming weeks,” it noted.

As you can see in the picture above, the new Bing comes with a fresh logo, but also with the Snapshot box and a redesigned sidebar right on the results page. In addition, Microsoft has also implemented what it calls the “pole position” feature, thus displaying specific results at the top of the page, such as weather conditions.
