Despite the announcement about delaying the launch of Firefox 11, Mozilla managed to release the web browser on the scheduled day. The new revision is now officially available for download.

The modifications available in Firefox 11 include new features, such as importing bookmarks, history and cookies from Google Chrome. However, this feature is not complete yet, since the development team is working to extend its capabilities to importing passwords, form data, and settings as well.

Another important feature is the possibility to synchronize add-ons across computers. Thus, if you have Firefox installed on multiple computers you will be able to coordinate your add-ons as well.

Starting with this version, developers benefit from very useful tools such as the Style Editor and they can visualize a web page in 3D using Page Inspector 3D View.

Various security fixes have been implemented, several of them critical.
