14 DAY TRIAL // The second beta build for foobar2000 has been released and, apart from fixing various issues from the previous edition, it also introduces new stuff: deadlock detection feature.
At the moment, it is in experimental stage of development. The purpose of this feature is to improve bug-collecting process from testing users. What deadlock detection actually does is to automatically terminate Foobar2000’s process and produce a crash report when the application’s user interface is unresponsive for an extended period of time.
The developer recommends sending out the reports in order to be able to find a solution or a work-around to the problem and implement it in the next version of the audio player.
This feature should prove efficient especially when the problem is caused by a certain component, as the details can be forwarded to the developer of that component straight away.
