Gameloft clearly developed some of the most awesome racing games on mobile platforms, and today the company has made more users happy.

The popular GT Racing 2 racing game for Windows 8.1 received a new update a few hours ago, so those who have already deployed Microsoft’s modern OS can now find a brand new version of this title in the Windows Store.

Unfortunately, there are no new cars, tracks, or any other features in this build, but Gameloft says that it’s very important for everyone to update because the new build comprises bug fixes and improvements that should lead to an overall improved experience on Windows 8.1.

As you most likely know if you’re a fan, the game works on both desktops and tablets and it’s a really addictive title when playing it on a Surface RT with touch controls.

The feature lineup is unchanged and features a total of 67 cars from 35 manufacturers, including Mercedes-Benz, Ferrari, Dodge, and others, but also 1,400 events and a truly amazing multiplayer mode.

The best thing of all is the freeware license, so in case you find the aforementioned perks very appealing, you can always download GT Racing 2 for Windows 8.1 free of charge no matter if you want to play it on a PC or on a tablet.
