If you’re a Windows 8 enthusiast, you most likely know that Gameloft recently launched Modern Combat 5: Blackout on Windows 8.1, thus bringing awesome FPS gameplay on Microsoft’s modern operating system.

Today, the game received its very first update, with Gameloft claiming that this new version comes with bug fixes that are supposed to address issues reported by gamers after trying the first build rolled out last week.

No specifics have been provided, but expect everything to run smoother and the game to be more reliable, no matter if you’re playing it on a desktop computer or a tablet.

The feature lineup remains unchanged and includes both single-player and multiplayer modes, 4 customizable clashes, and lots of missions with plenty of challenges in cities such as Tokyo and Venice.

“Step into the action as the latest installment in the best FPS series raises the bar for shooter games once more! Create a squad, add your friends and test your individual and team skills against other squads! Is single player your thing? Then step into a world on the brink of anarchy and shoot your way out of one dire situation after another to expose a lunatic who’s trying to tear the world to shreds,” the updated game description reads.

As it was the case with the first version, the game isn’t available free of charge, but with a $6.99 (€5.25) price tag. No trial version is available for now.
