If you’re looking for a powerful video player that could easily handle the most common video formats on the market, chances are that Gom Player is one of the best choices, no matter your previous experience with computers.

And thanks to an update released today, the application is supposed to work even smoother and be more stable regardless of the OS version running on your system.

GOM Player 2.2.57.5189 brings some changes to the minimum system requirements and packs improvements for the internal source filter, while also adding support for FLAC audio file (.flac) playback.

The Bookmarks feature saw improvements as well, whereas the Subtitle Explorer and the Codec Finder windows received a number of tweaks to look better in certain conditions.

The developing team says that the installer package comes with enhanced security, and the DAT file associations should now work smoother, without any other bugs and issues.

Just as expected, the application continues to work like a charm on all Windows versions currently on the market, including the soon-to-be-retired Windows XP, but also the newly launched Windows 8.1, in both 32- and 64-bit builds.

Overall, this update clearly comes in handy to everyone, so make sure you download Gom Player 2.2.57.5189 right now to see what’s new.
