After announcing the holiday-themed Angry Birds available in Chrome, Google also pushed a new beta of their web browser. As expected for a beta, version 16.0.912.59 of Google Chrome does not touch on the feature set but focuses on bug fixing.

One important modification that should decrease the traffic created by Chrome is the decision to no longer auto-update the GPU blacklist. The solution is that all branches pick up the latest json file containing the list of blocked GPU/drivers when running an update.

Some repairs affected the Omnibox and its abilities to better recognize intranet addresses and search queries and act accordingly.

Process isolation is not used for bookmark apps and now they use the regular web page process model and not the app process model.

Synchronization process has also been improved as database load failures are handled better in this release.
