Turning some features off and on is part of stability measures

There was plenty of activity on the dev channel of Google Chrome in the past days. The development team has been busy, releasing new builds on a daily basis (except on Sunday) for about a week.

Modifications consisted in turning off features (print preview is currently disabled but will be enabled in the next release) and then back on, such as page pre-rendering, as well as updating the JavaScript engine.

The latest revision for Google Chrome Beta is available for Windows and Chrome Frame and the build number is 18.0.1025.117. This time around the developers switched off the swiftshader and gamepad; a future release will have them on by default again.

Switching features on and off is part of the stability measures that need to be taken at the moment; the developer alerts that in some cases the knobs may stay off.
