14 DAY TRIAL // Google has rolled out a new update for the dev channel of Chrome browser. The build number has been incremented to 24.0.1312.1 and the revision is available for all supported platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux, and Chrome Frame).
There are few modifications in this build. However, significant for this release is the WebKit update to version 537.17 and the elimination of some bugs relating to bookmark synchronization. Additional fixes have tackled issues that affected the stability of the web browser.
One of them caused the browser to crash when closing GTalk. The other problem related to restoration of apps when the user restarted the browser in incognito mode.
On Linux, the development team has managed to solve the problem with the GPU process crashing on startup when the standard error stream (stderr) cannot be closed.
