Microsoft continues to brag about the Touch Cover that serves as both a protective cover and as a keyboard for its Surface tablet, this time with a blog post revealing an early prototype of the device.

While several users reported issues with the Touch Cover after the Surface RT went on sale late last year, Microsoft claims that it’s the perfect keyboard to carry around, especially because it’s extremely lightweight.

“We were sitting in a room all asking ourselves the same question, ‘How do we create the thinnest possible full size keyboard to help people have something that’s beautiful and personable, but also give them the ability to be productive while they’re on the go?’” the Surface Team said in a post.

The Touch Cover is currently sold separately for the Surface Pro tablet, while both the 32GB and the 64 GB version of the Surface RT can be ordered with a keyboard.
