If your Skype crashes quite frequently, chances are this hotfix released for version 5.8 of the application might eliminate the annoyance. Not much has been modified in this release, as the changelog for Skype 5.8.0.156 shows only two entries.

Along with the aforementioned stability fix, the development team also improved the program’s messaging part, for users who have been blocked from logging into the application.

For those unaware of the latest progress of the application, Skype 5.8 incorporates features that make it more social. It introduced Group Screen Sharing, a feat that allows you to broadcast your screen to as much as 10 users. Also, Facebook support for video and audio calls has been implemented, as well as full-HD video calling.
