Users claim that spam filters could block the password reset mail

Outlook.com users are complaining that their Instagram account password reset emails do not arrive in the inbox, so they’re basically left with no option when trying to set up a new password.

The issue first appeared in August and even though Microsoft has since provided several workarounds, none seems to have successfully repaired the issues.

Some users claim that they’ve tried to reset the Instagram password for 5 times, but again, no email lands in their inbox, even though Outlook.com appears to be working just fine.

While it’s not yet clear whether the spam filters are blocking the emails or not, Microsoft is recommending users to add the [email protected] email in safe senders list, just to make sure that it reaches the inbox.

Additionally, you should always check whether there are any forwarding, moving, or deleting rules set for your accounts, as Instagram mails might be redirected as soon as they reach the inbox.
