Microsoft has just announced the availability of a new Windows 8.1 app that brings the recipes of Jamie Oliver right in the Modern UI of the company’s latest operating system.

The intuitively called Jamie's Recipes app comes with support for all Windows 8.1 versions, including desktop and tablet builds, also powering ARM tablets, such as the Surface 2.

As you could easily guess by simply reading the app’s name, it comes with a large collection of recipes, but also with HD video guides, photos and step-by-step instructions for great festive treats.

“My app is all about giving you the tools and inspiration to create really great-tasting food easily at home. With retina imagery for each and every recipe step, as well as HD video guides for some of the tougher techniques, you really can't go wrong,” Jamie Oliver said in the description of the photo.

As mentioned, the application can be installed on all Windows 8.1 builds, and, although offered free of charge, some additional packs can be purchased for a very small fee.

Overall, there’s no doubt that this is quite a great addition to your personal app portfolio, so download Jamie's Recipes app for Windows 8.1 to see what it’s up to.

Update: it turns out that the app has been around for a while, but it's still worth a shot if you really want to learn to cook some amazing treats from Jamie Oliver himself.
