Internet Explorer 6 continues to be a top browser worldwide

Internet Explorer 6 remains the number one choice for 4.9 percent of computers worldwide, even though it’s pretty clear that it’s an outdated browser that’s slower and less secure than its successors.

Duncan Maile of DuncsBlog.com has tried to use the aging Internet Explorer 6 on a number of modern websites, including MSN, Apple, and Twitter.

The results pretty much speak for themselves. Internet Explorer 6 fails to render the pages correctly and, what’s more, the browser returns an error when trying to display content on Microsoft’s own MSN page and Apple’s website.

As you know, Microsoft recommends everyone to step away from Internet Explorer 6 and make the move to a newer platform that’s said to be much faster and more secure. Both Windows 7 and Windows 8 comes with much better choices.
