The device might not launch in the US, after all

Lumia 735 was one of the Windows Phone devices that were expected to arrive in the United States at some point in the future, but it might appear that Microsoft has changed its mind overnight.

As NPU writes today, the Lumia 735 initially appeared as “coming soon” on the Microsoft Mobile US website, but starting recently, the device is no longer available as all pages appear to have been removed by the company.

Obviously, the decision does seem a little bit surprising, given the fact that Microsoft itself wants to expand the Windows Phone lineup with as many devices as possible in every single market out there, but the only thing we can do right now is wait and see if canceling the US launch of Lumia 735 is indeed at fault for the page removal or there's any other reason behind this.

To refresh your memory, Lumia 735 was first announced in September 2014 and runs Windows Phone 8.1 out of the box, which does allow Microsoft to boost the market share of its latest OS version.

The phone comes with a 4.7-inch screen with a resolution of 720x1280 px, Gorilla Glass coating, 8 GB of internal storage, and 1 GB of RAM memory. The processor is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 / Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7, while the GPU unit comes in the form of an Adreno 305 chip.

As far as cameras are concerned, there's a rear 6.7-megapixel unit with LED flash and Carl Zeiss optics, as well as a 5-megapixel front one capable of shooting in 720p.
