The beta for version 1.65 of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware has just been released. The new revision introduces several new features, improvements and fixes.

We also noticed modifications to the software requirements, as the new beta drops support for Windows 2000 and XP older than SP2.

Starting this build, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware no longer requires rebooting the system in order to upgrade. The protection module can be controlled for the entire machine and is no longer limited to individual user accounts.

Also, Filesystem Blocking and Website Blocking can now be enabled or disabled separately via the Protection tab and real-time protection is now interrupted when exiting the application in the system tray, as all specific processes are terminated.

Improvements available refer to faster real-time protection starting faster on Windows Vista and 7 and more effective Chameleon technology.
