Maxthon 3 has reached a new stable release, which is equipped with a new feature designed to spare the user of the hassle of unsupported ActiveX pages. The solution is that the web browser automatically switches to Retro Mode.

The latest revision is 3.3.5.1000 and brings to the table fixes touching on the Webkit core, main frame and the extension platform. Although there aren’t too many repairs, the list sports some notable entries, such as crash problems, failure to visit local pages or invalidation of mouse gesture and new tab on some pages.

In the case of the main frame the developers solved the issue with “Page Zoom” setting failing to work in a new session. Extension platform touch up referred to interface-related problems.
