Emergency release fixes google.hk navigation crash

After last week’s emergency release for the stable version of Maxthon web browser, the development team repeats the deed. The latest build of the application, 3.3.8.3000, has been rolled out specifically to tackle a crash problem.

The browser would terminate its activity when navigating to Google Hong Kong page. Although there aren’t any statistics about the amount of users reaching google.hk, the early release of a new stable revision points to the fact that the percentage is significant enough.

According to the developer, this would be the only reason for the new release. However, there are reports about problems affecting the latest doodle from Google. It celebrates the birthday of Robert Moog by showing a working Moog synthesizer, but users of the current Maxthon stable and beta do not hear any sound when pressing the synth’s keys.

Maxthon browser is available here; it is also available as a portable download.
