There is a new release available for the beta version of Maxthon. Build 3.3.9.900 of the web browser maintains its lead as far as support for HTML5 is concerned, earning a score of 465 points out of a maximum of 500.

This is the highest score recorded, quite far from what Google Chrome, Firefox and Opera can currently achieve.

Maxthon 3.3.9.900 beta also updates the JavaScript engine and brings to the table a batch of fixes addressing issues with the main frame (case-insensitive problem of Address Bar), Webkit and IE core.

In the previous versions of the application, some videos would evade the source sniffer; also, images could not be downloaded. Both problems have been eliminated in this revision.

The issue with IE core was a video popup icon display problem in Retro Mode.
